1928 $2

While this banknote wasn’t locally-issued, it does have a connection to Rhode Island. From the inscription on the back, it appears that it was meant to be used for a bet at the Narragansett Race Track in Pawtucket. Perhaps it was given to a child by a parent or grandparent before an excursion to the horse races.
