Washington Bank, Westerly
Incorporated June, 1800. Chartered as the Washington National Bank June, 1865. Incorporated as the Washington Trust Company, March 13, 1902. Still in existence today, it is Rhode Island’s oldest bank.
The Washington Bank occupied a room at the left side of the old post office in Dixon Square in Westerly from 1800 to 1836.
