Producers Bank $100

1850s-60s Proof. Durand UNL, Haxby UNL, Bowers UNL

Similar to Durand 2646, Haxby RI-585-G24a, Bowers RI-1690-100-G080 without the “brown tint lathework” covering entire note (as seen here).

“The note features a large vignette, History Instructing Youth and a classical medallion-like cameo head vignette at right. It is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual POCs in the signature lines which is, in turn , affixed to a Danforth Bald archive book card. This was the only example of this design represented in the ABNCo Archives holdings in 1990 and we have a strong suspicion that it remains unique in proof form.”

Ex Coll. Charles R. Pease, Jr.
